Our Story
Since 1994, J.D. Higgins has been dedicated to building wealth and strengthening communities through real estate and skilled craftsmanship.
After witnessing how many of our elderly and low-income neighbors were taken advantage of by overpriced companies, I made it my mission to give back—using my own hands, skills, and integrity to make a difference.
In 2016, I earned my Carpentry Certification, and a year later, in 2017, officially established J.D. HIGGINS LLC as a Michigan-registered Domestic Limited Liability Company under the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
Our mission is simple: to provide Detroit and surrounding communities with a contractor who not only works for the people, but works with them—ensuring proper maintenance, fair pricing, and lasting improvement to our homes and neighborhoods.
